10th Annual aha! Camp Theme:
“The Symphony of You”
Because we can, we are having our second 10-year camp anniversary celebration in May 2022! Treat yourself to an entirely new selection of Aha! Wisdom Sessions, a new Challenge Course in an old-growth forest and a wonderful variety of Self Care options that make for your perfect camp experience. Plus, we are having a special guest to camp and special goodies–because that makes the celebration of a decade of fun even more fun. (And as I always say, “Fun is fun!”)
Health note: Please see the Health at aha! Camp page for updates on our plan for a low-risk, high-fun camp
May’s 10th Anniversary Special Guest:
For 10 years campers have been learning and loving Karen’s Gratitude Song. As a special treat in 2022, we have Karen live!
Karen has been called “a master of communicating presence and spirituality through music,” with 20 CDs of her original inspirational music and an inspirational book; “Let Go of the Shore: Stories and Songs That Set the Spirit Free.” She sings, speaks, and leads workshops at women’s retreats and mind-body & health conferences all over the United States. She loves making music, making a difference, and touching hearts.
May 2022 aha! Wisdom Sessions
What good is camp if you go home and live the same old same old? Wisdom Sessions stop the madness and give women the permission to change and the wisdom & hands-on tools to pull it off.
“I Will Be Gentle With Myself”
by Karen Drucker (Mill Valley, CA)
Gratitude and being kind to ourselves and others is a daily practice that can transform our lives. How many of us actually do that? In times of distress do we allow ourselves to be truly kind, compassionate and gentle with ourselves, or do we allow our inner critic to get in the way and mentally beat ourselves up?
Karen wrote the chant "I will be gentle with myself" to remind herself she always has a choice to be kind, to be gentle and to be nurturing (something many of us reserve for others in our lives, not for ourselves). In this playshop you will participate in inspiring and healing music, play and laughter.
Muse of Your Inner Symphony
by Uma Mulnick (Portland, OR); Music by Karen
"It doesn't matter if you call her your Muse, Inner Wisdom, Spirit or whatever else," Uma Joy reminds. "We all have an inner voice that knows you have a beautiful symphony inside." Absolutely no creative experience is necessary (thankfully...because I have none!) for this intentional creative process using paints, markers, glitter and bling. Lovingly guided and supported by Uma Joy (every year a camp favorite) while listening to the inspirational music of Karen Drucker (live!)
It Is What It Is!
by Carolyn Casey (Boise, ID)
After two years of waiting for the May 10-year camp celebration, I have had a love-hate relationship with surrendering to what is. (Well, truth be told it has been a lifetime relationship with accepting, with grace and ease and calm, what is showing up.) Can you relate...and are you still in the constant struggle? Let's expore the peace possibilities flowing with life's twists and turns can offer. (I promise!)

It's easy to blame life circumstances on others. Carolyn often finds, "I'm doing it to myself!" Carolyn and Karen team up in the witty, wise workshop where you will learn the power of personal permission to thrive in your life. Get ready to go big!
by Ellia Casey (Boise, ID) & Shari Chatterton (Guatemala)
Can a simple jaunt through the forest help us reveal and then release some of the hurdles and stumbling blocks we are dragging through life? What would happen if we choose to let go and lean in to trusting others and life a bit more? This year we are using Mother Nature to assist us in lightening our load, because with 7.6 billion other people on the planet, we were not meant to do our lives alone. Come test trust out--you will be amazed with you!

This no-agenda event is a riot and more fun every year. Let's agree right now what happens at the campfire, stays at the campfire! Campers bring fun jokes, stories, riddles, new s'more recipes, songs...it goes on and on and on. (Warning: Depends adult wear may be needed for laughing until you, well, you know...you go...)
“I love camp so much! Every year I attend I learn more and meet the most wonderful women. I have grown so much through the experience I have had a camp. I don’t know where I would be without it!” Kristine
Session changes: While this website represents are highest and best intentions for aha! Wisdom Sessions, life happens! And new opportunities unfold. Thus, camp presenters and session topics may shift, and in 10 years campers have learned that camp is awesome no matter what!
aha! Camp Fun on the Challenge Course
The truth is our best life doesn’t come when we are cozily entrenched in our comfort zone…or our zone of terror
The Challenge Ropes Course is designed to help you move to the middle ground, your “zone of growth,” where your insights can inspire and delight you.
May’s new setting is amongst a stunning 55-acre, old-growth, Ponderosa-pine forest. There are a range of activities, from simple walking exercises to activities up in the air–all designed to take you past your previous barriers and beliefs.
The best part is, you decide which activities you will participate in and which you will simply observe.
“Energetic, but each participant was only encouraged to do what they felt comfortable doing…no guilt ever!” Glory
aha! Camp Self Care & Compassion:
There are endless options for you to invent about having more fun or enjoying some downtime, alone or with your new camp friends. Besides, we all need a nap just about anytime, don't we?
The ugly truth: most women are experts at taking care of everyone except themselves…
Surprising news: at camp we end the cycle of you ignoring you! Women learn to nurture themselves and follow their hearts and dump the heavy life loads they carry in their minds and in their emotions and in their bodies. This year’s self-care options are designed to help women release their “stuff” on many levels.
May’s self-care options will be announced in early 2022. As ever, they are guaranteed to melt your stress, open your heart & mind and be, quite frankly, life changing.
Registered campers will have an opportunity to sign up for Self-Care sessions prior to camp.
“I really enjoyed the ‘self time.’ I don’t seem to get very much of ‘me’ time when I’m not stressing about family/commitment needs. This was nice to not have that over the weekend in this beautiful location.” Anonymous camper
